Orthopaedic Case Challenges in Small Animal Practice A Day meeting with Dr Martin Owen of Bristol University Orthopaedics presents its own set of unique [and
often unforgiving!] challenges to the practitioner. Using an interactive,
case-based format, this one day course will take delegates through the
fundamentals of orthopaedic examination, highlighting tips and techniques for
identifying and diagnosing and treating frequently encountered
musculoskeletal problems. This course will enhance confidence and increase
skills in recognising and treating orthopaedic cases in practice. Topics to be covered will include: • Treatment
of common joint diseases and problems • Operative
technique selection for treating cranial cruciate ligament rupture and
patellar luxation • Management
of traumatic injuries • Decision
making and planning for fracture repair • Dealing
