Diagnosis and Therapeutics of Liver Disease
in Practice An evening meeting with Dr Mark Jackson of the University of Glasgow Management of patients with liver disease can be challenging, fun and rewarding. Or, it can be challenging, frustrating and depressing. The difference is often based on how well the attending clinician appreciates the basis and limitations of diagnostic tests available, how and when to biopsy and a wise selection of available therapeutics. Using a problem oriented case based approach you should develop the confidence to view these patients with renewed optimism. Topics to be covered will include: · Clinical Diagnosis of Hepatobiliary Diseases. · Liver Therapeutics: Pills, Elixers, Potions and Food. Course Tutor: Mark W.
