Lecture Summary:
Endocrine disorders can be challenging to manage in small animal practice and, especially with the more complicated cases, can prove frustrating in the long term. This day course will focus on the specific diagnosis and management of these conditions and will increase your knowledge and confidence in dealing effectively with both the straightforward and more complex patients . Case examples and discussions will be used throughout the day enabling you to apply learning to your practice situation.
Specific areas to be covered include:
Approach to PUPD
Treatment of hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease)
Diagnosing hypoadrenocorticism (Addison’s disease)
Diagnosing thyroid diseases in dogs and cats
Managing challenging cases of diabetes mellitus
