Wound management in veterinary patients can often appear daunting and it is important to ensure that our actions enhance and do not delay wound healing. Topics to be covered include:

  • How to recognise different types of wounds and understand how they heal.
  • How to decide what is the best method of managing traumatic wounds: surgical closure versus open wound management.
  • Practical care of wound drains.
