Pancreatic disease is an important clinical entity in small animal patients in practice. Pancreatic disease can present as acute life-threatening emergencies requiring rapid diagnosis and immediate treatment, through to chronic cases with a more prolonged clinical course. This evening meeting will discuss the approach to the pancreatic case, in order to develop a logical approach to the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic cases.
During the meeting the discussion will also focus on the interpretation of test results in order to support the diagnosis and assess current treatment regimes. Treatment protocols will be discussed from the point of view of available options and clinical effectiveness.
